Birdstop.io

Summary

Birdstop is building a nation-scale remote sensing platform using BVLOS drones stationed across the country—like a constellation of satellites on the ground. The platform enables distributed, persistent monitoring and data capture, turning complex operational infrastructure into a product teams can actually use and trust.

I partnered with Birdstop to create an end-to-end visual and product foundation across brand identity, marketing website, and SaaS UI—establishing a cohesive experience that communicates technical credibility, supports product clarity, and scales with the company as the platform evolves.

Project Scope: Marketing Website, Brand Identity, UI Product Design
Tools: Figma, Adobe CC, Webflow, Canva
Role: Contract Product & Brand Designer (end-to-end)

The Challenge

Birdstop operates in a highly technical space—remote sensing + drone infrastructure + national deployment—where trust and clarity are non-negotiable. The challenge was to design an experience that could:

  • Communicate a complex product in a way that feels simple and credible

  • Balance deep technical capability with approachable storytelling

  • Provide a UI foundation for a SaaS platform that could grow with more users, workflows, and system complexity

  • Build a strong, consistent brand presence across web, product UI, and collateral

Goals

We aligned on three primary goals:

  1. Clarify the story
Make Birdstop’s “why it matters” understandable within seconds—without oversimplifying the technology.

  2. Establish trust through craft
Create a clean, modern visual system that signals reliability, precision, and maturity.

  3. Design for scale
Build a product UI direction and brand system that could expand across new features, workflows, and use cases.

My Role & Responsibilities

I designed across three connected layers of the experience:

1) SaaS Product UI

  • Defined interface direction and layout foundations

  • Designed high-clarity screens that support complex operational data and workflows

  • Established reusable patterns to support future feature expansion

2) Marketing Website

  • Designed a marketing site that communicates the product narrative clearly

  • Built a visual hierarchy that moves users from “what is this?” to “why it matters?” to “how does it work?”

  • Ensured the website aligned with product UI and brand identity

3) Brand Identity

  • Created a cohesive brand identity system

  • Defined typography, color, and graphic language that could flex from technical to editorial

  • Produced supporting assets for consistent usage across channels
