New Era Healthyeating is about rethinking the way we approach what we eat. Eating all the things you love with moderation and food source awareness. With this book design, I wanted the aesthetic to exude a refreshing, approachable manner.
Periwinkle blue was used as the leading accent color because of its welcoming tone that instantly builds confidence with the reader.
The book needed a visual element to create a personal touch in the photographs. The blue and white apron was the perfect texture to fill this design necessity.
The recipes were all very text heavy with in-depth introductions and lengthy ingredient and tool lists. The above layout was chosen as the structural backbone that all the recipes were built out with. It was chosen because of its ability to keep most recipes down to one spread as well as create an open, easily readable template.
Adapting the recipe template was a major task in the production of this book. As most recipes were dynamic, each having a unique element, creating consistency among all the recipe pages was a delicate process.
